Play & Render Scene
Learn how to play and render your Scene
Player your Scene
Inside the Toolbar, you have four buttons ( Play, Pause, Step, and Reset ) that allow you to test your Scene in real-time. Let’s look at these four actions in detail.
- Play Scene
- Pause Scene
- Step Scene
- Reset Scene
Render your Scene
If you click on the button Render inside the Toolbar, a new window will open up and your Scene will be rendered as if you were using the Render Engine. You can also use CTRL + Enter to render your Scene.
There is a big difference between play your Scene and render it. Your Scene is made of two parts : the Game World and the Game Screens.
- When you play your Scene, the Editor only runs your Game World because it cannot run the Game Screens on its Canvas.
- When you render your Scene, the Editor will run you Game World and your Game Screens inside the new window. So the main purpose of the Render feature is to allow you to test your Game Screens from the Engine Editor.
